چکیده

Abstract Aim To highlight the significance of dislocated total knee arthroplasty, which is more likely to happen after a low-energy trauma and can result in limb-threatening neurovascular complications compartment syndrome, we present case mild that resulted co-occurrence occlusion left popliteal artery vein 10 years implantation. Method Three weeks fall on her at home, 69-year-old woman presented our orthopedics clinic with swelling, paresthesia, paralysis leg. She had edema significant ecchymosis, tibial pulses vanished. uneventful bilateral arthroplasty surgery right knees six ten ago, respectively. Her medical history for type 2 diabetes mellitus hypertension. Doppler ultrasound CT angiography showed occluded vein. Following thromboembolectomy by cardiovascular surgeons, orthopedic surgeons underwent lower leg preventative fasciotomy under general anesthesia creating two longitudinal incisions either side tibia. Results ultrasonography fifth follow-up day revealed biphasic flow posterior monophasic dorsal artery, however, paresthesia were still present. Ultimately, unilateral above-knee amputation was performed. Conclusions Due high level concern vascular injury advise physicians consider while treating patients who ago minimal trauma.

Acute Popliteal Artery Occlusion after Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty

Acute arterial occlusions are a rare complication of total knee arthroplasty (TKA). However, in revision TKA, the risk of such complications is higher and these complications can lead to amputation if not adequately treated. We describe a case of acute popliteal artery occlusion 4 hours after second revision TKA in a patient with a history of several surgical procedures because of periprostheti...

Acute arterial occlusion after total knee arthroplasty: a case report

Popliteal artery occlusion after total knee arthroplasty is rare (0.03-0.17%) but can lead to amputation if overlooked. We should carefully assess vascular patency by Doppler ultrasound and ankle brachial pressure index (ABPI) measurement before and after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) operation.

Loosening of Total Knee Arthroplasty after Brucellosis Infection: A Case Report

In this report we describe a 78-year-old man whose total knee arthroplasty showed the symptoms of infection with brucella with radiographic signs of loosening 5 years after the index surgery. The patient was treated successfully after a 2-stage revision arthroplasty surgery along with using rifampicin and doxycycline for 8 weeks.

Mycobacterium chelonae infection after total knee arthroplasty: a case report.

We present a case of Mycobacterium chelonae infection after total knee arthroplasty in a 70-year-old woman. The patient underwent implant removal, drainage, debridement, and insertion of a gentamycin-load cement spacer. After 4 months, the second-stage surgery was performed. Intravenous amikacin (6 weeks) and oral clarithromycin (12 weeks) were given. At the 12-month follow-up, the patient ach...

Gouty synovitis after total knee arthroplasty: a case report.

We report a case of acute gouty synovitis after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in a patient with no history of gout. The diagnosis was confirmed by the presence of urate crystals in the synovial fluid. Acute gouty synovitis, though rare, should be considered in the differential diagnosis of an inflammed knee after TKA to avoid unnecessary surgical revision.
